The Goal Academy Vision
The Goal Academy is leading a revolution in football: in the manner it is coached; in the manner it is played; in the manner it is supported. Our coaching programmes and community scheme reflect our key values of ‘football for fun’ and ‘football for all’. These strong values and our continuing commitment to the power of football for change are present throughout The Goal Academy Aims:
- to promote ‘Football For Fun’ and ‘Football For All’;
- to provide children the opportunity to build friendships, mix socially and grow in confidence;
- to inspire a mutual respect and understanding amongst young players;
- to maximise enjoyment whilst broadening young players’ knowledge of the game;
- to encourage development in all areas - technical, personal, social and academic;
- to foster development through interesting, engaging games and sessions which are fun yet challenging, whilst ensuring the welfare of young players remains paramount at all times;
- to encourage young players to take responsibility for their own progress and learning, through the introduction of simple ‘goal-setting’ and a self-development programme;
- to chart the progress of young players, offer an objective assessment of their technical ability and provide valuable feedback;
- to increase children’s motivation to play football;
- to promote a lasting involvement in the game.
The Goal Academy Codes of Conduct
There are a great number of people involved in the game of football. Each has their own role to play, their own importance and their own responsibilities. Recognising this, The Goal Academy has formulated a series of Codes of Conduct to help guide our players, coaches and parents' actions and behaviour.
